Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for several years. Sara Ramirez was raised by her American mother and encountered a number of racial slurs, which made her feel unwelcome. The confidence started to build in the ninth grade when she entered a school audition. She was praised by the judges for her vocal ability. This experience did not just help the confidence of her, but also altered the direction she was heading in her the future. In 1992, she earned her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23 she started her professional career, making her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. The greatest success of her career came when she played The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's first Broadway production. Not only did she receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. The following year she was made the lead character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. A singer by profession, she's also produced songs as well as an extensive work. In addition, she has spoken out in support of LGBT concerns.
